It is necessary to do what is needed now but even more essential to make sure that you plan for the future.

1. Picture 1 and 2 shows the conditions of living in the Kampung in the 1970s where my Grandfather opened a provision shop and the whole family had to work on the farm to make ends meet. Life was hard then.

2. Fast forward to 1980s, the Kampung was acquired by the govt and my grandparents opted for a HDB Shophouse.

3. An Excellent Real Estate Choice indeed! my extended family supported their own family by working in the shophouse (Semi-Wet Market) and my grandparents even had their own HDB Flat above the shop. Life is definitely better as shown in picture 3 and 4!

4. Shop was eventually sold off and the proceeds divided by the stakeholders. Grandparents retired with cash and the respective stakeholders had the finances to continue with their own individual business!

This was the first instance I saw how a good real estate decision could make a positive, life-changing impact on peoples’ lives.
